The 12th Annual America Abroad Media (AAM) Awards Dinner celebrated four distinguished leaders whose work reflects the power of media to inform, educate, and inspire across cultures. Honorees included Moira Forbes, EVP of Forbes Media and President & Publisher of ForbesWomen; French-Lebanese Oscar-nominated director Ziad Doueiri; Mathias Döpfner, CEO of Axel Springer and owner of Politico; and Iran International, a leading Persian-language broadcast and digital news channel, recognized for their contributions to global media discourse. The event highlighted AAM’s ongoing commitment to honoring excellence in storytelling and cross-border understanding.

The 11th Annual America Abroad Media Awards Dinner honored a distinguished group of global storytellers whose work reflects the power of media to deepen cultural understanding and cross-border dialogue. The evening celebrated Emirati filmmaker and artist Nujoom Alghanem, British writer and director Sally El Hosaini, Saudi creative studio Telfaz 11, and Emmy- and Tony-nominated actor Arian Moayed, recognizing their contributions to purpose-driven storytelling and international cultural exchange. The event brought together leaders from media, the arts, and public affairs in recognition of narrative as a vital force in shaping global perspective.

Hosted as part of AAM’s 10th anniversary gala, the evening highlighted leaders who have shaped international storytelling and public dialogue, with honorees including Bela Bajaria, head of global television at Netflix; Sheikh Mohammed Al Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League; and the acclaimed Turkish television series Ethos (Bir Başkadır), recognized for its powerful narrative and cultural resonance. The event brought together media innovators and thought leaders in recognition of narrative’s capacity to foster understanding across borders.
